Concussions: It’s time for the facts

Join Dr. Kristine Lombardozzi, Tryon Equine Hospital and Foothills Riding Club on March 29 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Landrum Depot. Dr. Lombardozzi will be talking about “Concussions: It’s Time For The Facts.” This event is free.
Dr. Lombardozzi is a board certified surgeon in critical care and general surgery and works in the Spartanburg Regional Health System, Spartanburg Regional Hospital.
Head and brain injuries are responsible for the majority of serious equestrian sport injuries and deaths. The risk of concussion and fatal injuries in horseback riding are comparable with high-impact sports, such as football, soccer, rugby, and motorcycle and auto racing.
