Celebrating 27 years of sheltering, rescuing, protecting, re-homing, reuniting, and educating, the Foothills Humane Society will host its Fall Fest Open House on Saturday, Nov. 12. Proceeds from three events will benefit the dogs and cats.

The Variety Tag Sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. features collectibles, antiques, furniture, housewares and more on sale in the pavilion.

At the Chili Cook-off from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., hungry folks can try at least five different chilis for a small fee and then vote for Best of Taste.

At the Santa Paws photo event from 1 to 3 p.m., for a minimal session fee, a digital photo can be taken of your dog, Santa and his sleigh, and if you want, include yourself in the picture.
