Partnership with Horses to learn from Ed Dabney

The next Partnership with Horses meeting will be Wednesday, Oct. 12, 5:30 – 7 p.m. The meeting will be at Valerie and Pete Quinn’s Farm at 2460 Mount Lebanon Road, Campobello.

We are fortunate to have renowned horseman, Ed Dabney, conducting a demonstration on “Achieving Communication, Respect, Trust, Lightness and Harmony through Essential Exercises.” Donations will benefit Georgia Equine Rescue League.

Directions to Quinn’s Farm from Landrum: Take Hwy. 14 west toward Greer. Pass Hwy. 11. Go about 1.2 miles and turn left on Goodjoin. Go about three and a half miles, turn right on Mount Lebanon. Go about one mile and the farm is on the right. Park in pasture. Bring your own chair.

Ed Dabney is an internationally acclaimed clinician, presenting horsemanship and riding clinics all over the US and Europe. In 2007, Ed was named champion of the East Coast Trainer Challenge Series by Equine Extravaganza. Ed was honored to have been selected by the University of Georgia to teach their senior level Young Horse Training course.

His training articles have appeared in many major national magazines. Ed produces instructional videos and the “Gentle Horsemanship” TV program which has been seen on two national television networks.

Ed is a fifth generation horseman who has worked with horses all his life, being involved in the ranching, motion picture and horse training industries. Ed’s blending of gentle horsemanship and classical equitation has attracted students all across the United States and Europe, drawing the attention of serious riders searching for the lightest touch and the deepest connection with their horses.
