Farm Bureau sponsors farm safety training class

The Polk County Farm Bureau sponsored a Farm Safety Training class, held at the 4-H Center in Columbus on July 12. The class was taught by Lamar Graff from the North Carolina Agromedicine Institute and covered topics on scene safety, response to traumatic injuries, and response to medical emergencies. The training was free and everyone received a first aid kit and a fire extinguisher. Lunch was catered by Manna Cabanna. (Submitted by Carmon L. Collie)
