Artist of the Month at Tryon Arts and Crafts School Douglas Chamberlain

Local assemblage and photography artist, Douglas Chamberlain has her works on display as artist of the month at Tryon Arts and Crafts School for the month of October. Visitors can see her show in the main gallery, Monday – Friday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Chamberlain, also a member of Tryon Painters and Sculptors and Carolina Camera Club, has been working in photography for over 30 years and assemblage art since 2010. Her work has shown in galleries in Tryon, Saluda and Asheville and is currently for sale at Kathleen’s Gallery in Saluda and is on display at St. Luke’s Hospital.
“With my assemblages I like to make pieces that are unique treasures, snippets of the past combined to please the eye as well as the mind. Photography is another way for me to share the inspiration, joy and beauty of life and living.”
