Polk County District Court results for July 23

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 with Judge T. Mack Brittain presiding, 203 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Dillon Reno Alexander was convicted of reckless driving-wanton disregard. Alexander was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $30 fine and court costs.
Joshua Eugene Cornett was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Cornett was fined $100 and court costs.
Thomas Gregory Davis was convicted of driving while license revoked, impaired revocation. Davis was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
Joshua Charles Flynn was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Flynn was fined $50 and court costs.
Jimmy Ray Hampton was convicted of misdemeanor possession of schedule II controlled substance. Hampton was sentenced to 20 days in jail with credit for time served.
Sheila M. Hansen was convicted of impaired equipment. Hansen was fined $40 and court costs.
Duane N. Hoff was convicted of impaired equipment. Hoff was fined $40 and court costs.
Dustin James Jespersen was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Jespersen was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours in jail, a $100 fine and court costs.
Robert Troy Jones was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce and possession of drug paraphernalia. Jones was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
Charles Allen Judge Jr. was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Judge was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Balinda Marriott was convicted of failure to appear. Marriott was sentenced to five days in jail with credit for time served.
Cameron Martin McLeod was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. McLeod was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.
Daniel S. McWhirter was convicted of impaired equipment. McWhirter was fined $40 and court costs.
James Landon Medford was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Medford was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Kelly Vernon Ross II was convicted of simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ross was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
Bobby S. Upton was convicted of two counts of probation violation. Upton was sentenced to 60 days in jail.
Gary Wayne Wilkins was convicted of no operator’s license. Wilkins was fined $25 and court costs.
