On Monday, September 27, the Tryon Downtown Development Association (TDDA) will hold its annual meeting at Tryon Country Club. Social time begins at 6:30, with the meeting to follow.

The featured speaker for this annual event will be Sherry Adams from the N.C. Small Town Main Street program, to which Tryon was designated in 2007. TDDAs use of the Main Streets program approach has greatly enhanced TDDAs organization, promotion, design, economic development and historic preservation goals.

TDDAs operating budget is supported wholly by membership dues. The 2010-2011 rates are as follows: a business membership is $65; a non-profit is $50; and an individual membership is $35. All grants or special donations go directly to fund downtown improvement projects.
