The newest kid on the block just happens to have landed the title rle in the upcoming Tryon Youth Theater production of Elton John and Tim Rices Aida.

Rachel Sullivan may be a newcomer to the Tryon theater family, but shes no novice to the theater world. This will be her eleventh production, including roles as Jo in Little Women, a musical at Greer High, and the Wicked Witch in The Wizard of Oz at Greer Childrens Theatre.

Sullivan graduates from Greer High School this June, and will attend Winthrop University for illustration in the fall. She heard about Aida, and wanted to do a summer play before college, so decided to try out for it. Im really excited, she says. Everyone is so nice and the music in this show is just beautiful.
