Saluda School Playground&bsp; Complete the Project community fundraiser will take place at The Wine Cellar at the Saluda Inn, featuring donated wines, horsdourves and live music, on May 1 from 7 to 9 p.m.
The Saluda School has been raising money for a new playground and has made enoughmoney to put in Phase I, installed during spring break. The children have been very excited and have worked hard selling cookbooks (which are still available) and other fundraisers to get their new playground.
This years fundraising has raised about half of what is needed and a couple of non-profit organizations have made some donations. The Wine Cellar at the Saluda Inn is giving the community an opportunity to pitch in and help Complete the Project with a high end wine tasting.
On May 1, from 7 to 9 p.m., The Wine Cellar will be serving vintage, single vineyard, highly rated and regarded wines that are valued from $50 to $150 per bottle, donated by a Saluda resident. For a donation guests will enjoy wines, light horsdourves provided by Saluda restaurants and music with Saluda School graduate, Aaron Burdett.
For those who do not drink wine but would like to attend, a smaller donation will include admission, horsdourves and chance to win door prizes. One hundred percent of the proceeds go to the school for the playground equipment.
Door prizes include a free wine tasting for 12 people, a reserve bottle of wine, and a Laguiole bottle opener.
Due to limited space and wine, reservations are necessary. For more information contact Joni at j@carolinawineexpert.com or 845-548-3801.
