Tryons 4th annual April Fools Festival, on Saturday, April 3, will offer a new event this yearan Easter bonnet/hat competition. Sponsored by Laura Brannen of Goodyear Florist, the grand prize winner will receive a $50 Spring-mix vase of flowers.
Judging will occur at 12:00 noon in the Nina Simone Plaza (54 S. Trade St.). The April Fools Parade and promenade of bonnets will follow at 12:34pm. Everyone (women, men, children, pets) is eligible to participate. Group entries are welcomed, too. So rally your church group, civic club and business colleagues, etcetera.
