Landrum sweeps Greenville Tech

The Landrum High mens and womens varsity basketball teams picked up two more Region II-A victories on Tuesday at home, sweeping Greenville Tech Charter.
The women started off the night with a convincing 58-36 victory, led by 23 points from Jordan Jenkins. She got scoring help from Amber Whiteside with 12 points, followed by Elizabeth Admondson and Alisha Belue with six points each.
In the mens game, Landrum trailed 28-20 at the half, but rallied with tough defense in the second half for a 51-46 win. The Cardinals held Greenville Tech to just 17 points over the final two quarters. Senior point guard DeShaun Hall led the Cardinals in scoring with 20 points. Landrum also got eight from Tyler Logan, seven from Corey McDowell and six from Cole McDowell.
Landrum High will hold a Coaches vs. Cancer basketball camp/clinic Saturday, Jan. 30 from 1 to 4 p.m. for any age group. Call coach Lyn Smith at 864-415-4487 for more information.
