Back to School Golf Tournament fundraiser set for July 19

POLK COUNTY—The Polk County Sheriff’s Office recently announced the Back to School Golf Tournament fundraiser, which will help provide the department with monetary funds and other necessities needed in the community.

The Back to School Golf Tournament fundraiser will take place on Saturday, July 19, at Meadowbrook Golf Club, located at 121 Meadowbrook Rd. in Green Creek. The cost to enter the tournament is $80 per person or $250 per group of four. A variety of prizes will be offered during the tournament, including an in-shore fishing charter in Charleston, South Carolina, gun raffles, silent auctions, closest-to-the-pin prizes, and the chance to win $10,000 for golfers who make a hole-in-one.

The sheriff’s office is offering sponsorships for the event in several different tiers. The bronze tier costs $100, the silver tier is $200, the gold tier is $500, and the platinum tier is $1000.

All proceeds and donations from the tournament will go towards the PSCO funds, school supplies, youth sports sponsorships, kids’ camp, and the Shop with a Cop event later this year.
