MILL SPRING—On Saturday, June 28, from 9 a.m. to noon, the Little White Oak Mountain trail system at the Polk County Recreation Complex will debut its first mountain bike trail. 

The first mountain bike trail in Polk County promises a thrilling experience for both dedicated bikers and hiking aficionados. Attendees can look forward to exploring the stunning natural beauty of the Little White Oak Mountain area.

The celebration will feature various activities, including guided tours of the new trails, a ceremonial ribbon cutting, and opportunities to engage with local organizations. Food trucks will be on-site, and there will be raffles with exciting prizes up for grabs.

“This is an incredible opportunity to experience the great outdoors in our community,” said Mickey Edwards, Polk County Parks, Recreation and Maintenance Director. “We invite everyone to bring their friends and family to share in the excitement of this special day.”
