TRYON—On Saturday, April 19, the Tryon Downtown Development Association hosted a Easter Egg Hunt that brought families and friends together in the heart of downtown Tryon.

Children lined up at 11 a.m. with baskets in hand, ready to embark on an exciting search for hidden treasures. Egg hunters scoured various locations along Trade, Pacolet, and Depot Streets, where colorful eggs were cleverly concealed in participating local businesses.

Spots like Tryon Coffeehouse, Rejuvenation Station, Carri Bass Photography, Trade Street Diner, Mountain Trail Soap Company, 80Six Gallery, The Nest, The Book Shelf, Mirroball Gallery and Wild Petunias joined in the fun, creating a festive atmosphere that delighted both kids and adults.

Adding to the excitement, the Easter Bunny made a special appearance at the plaza, bringing smiles and laughter to countless young faces.

“It was fantastic to see families exploring our store and enjoying the day together,” said TDDA Executive Director Lourdes Guterriez. “Events like this bring our community closer.”

The TDDA expressed their happiness with the turnout and promised to continue hosting events that celebrate community spirit and promote local businesses.

As the children left with their baskets filled with treasures and memories, the event laid the groundwork for continued community engagement moving forward.
