COLUMBUS—A façade beautification project was recently completed at the Polk County Health and Human Services Agency and Blue Ridge Health clinic space, thanks to the financial support of the Polk County Appearance Commission.
The artwork for the project was designed by artist Bill Crowell, owner of the Saluda Forge, and features painted metal forming beautiful and joyful sunflowers.
“This artwork is a reminder of the joy and power of healing that can come from one person’s artistic reflection on the world around us, and the commitment of community members to spread the arts to those in need of comfort,” said Polk County HHSA Director Joshua Kennedy.
Kennedy expressed gratitude for PCAC’s support.
“The project provides a visual representation of wellbeing to patients and would not have been possible without the Polk County Appearance Commission’s commitment to cultural preservation and community enrichment,” he said.
The clinic space located at 161 Walker Street.
