MILL SPRING—Conserving Carolina will host a free lecture entitled “Caring for Trees on Your Property,” presented by Jason Llano, a board-certified master arborist and the owner of Optimal Arboriculture. The program will take place on Saturday, April 19, at 10:30 a.m. at the Anne Elizabeth Suratt Nature Center at Walnut Creek Preserve.

This presentation aims to educate property owners on the benefits of trees while also providing resources to help identify potential risks and health concerns that may increase the likelihood of tree failure or decline. Attendees will explore best practices for tree care, focusing on how these can enhance tree health and reduce risk and how poor tree management can contribute to raising risk and decline.

For those interested in participating, there will be an optional walk to look at trees in the field after the presentation. For your safety, do not attempt this activity if it is beyond your ability and experience.
