Whats your story? Each of us has a story to tell. At Novembers AAUW meeting, held at Tryon Presbyterian Church on Harmon Road at 1 p.m. on Monday, November 23, Dr. Gloria Underwood will speak on One Story at a Time.
As a personal historian, Dr. Underwood will talk about how life stories combine to form our history and why it is important to preserve family and personal memories and the value of preserving these memoirs in document form.
Dr. Underwood has a PhD in literature with a focus on contemporary American literature, southern literature, and literature by women. She has taught literature and composition at the college level and written book reviews published in The Tryon Daily Bulletin.
The public is invited to join AAUW for this program.
