FENCE’s Equine Assisted Senior Engagement (EASE) will begin its fall session on Friday, October 11. The recently launched program is designed to provide equine support to people with early-stage dementia, MCI (mild cognitive impairment), and Parkinson’s.
The four-week program aims to provide an enriching experience to stimulate sensory, cognitive, and behavioral functions and takes place within FENCE’s beautiful, natural setting at Rosemary’s Barn.
Participants will engage and connect with horses and other equine animals in a range of therapeutic activities alongside our trained volunteers. If you are interested in participating or volunteering, please contact FENCE at 828-859-9021 or email therapeuticriding@fence.org.
