TRYON—North Carolina’s prettiest towns were recently chosen by the geography and travel website WorldAtlas, and Tryon, along with several other Western North Carolina locations, made the cut.

Described as a town with a “slow-paced lifestyle,” Tryon captured the attention of writers for its scenic beauty, equestrian heritage, and agricultural roots. WorldAtlas cited the town’s walkability and mentioned local highlights, such as Harmon Field and Pearson’s Falls.

According to WorldAtlas, the selected towns showcase a delightful blend of historic communities, forested retreats, and tranquil fishing villages. They also boast diverse cultural heritage and well-preserved historical architecture. The list also includes Beaufort, Blowing Rock, Bath, New Bern, Southport, Edenton, Banner Elk, Hillsborough, and Hot Springs.
