Two critically injured after motorcycle collides with SUV in Mill Spring

Charges pending for both parties, officials say
MILL SPRING—On Sunday, March 17, at approximately 4 p.m., the N.C. Highway Patrol responded to a collision between a motorcycle and an SUV at the intersection of Hwy. 9 and Silver Creek Rd.
One passenger of the motorcycle was airlifted to Spartanburg Regional Hospital with critical injuries, and another passenger of the motorcycle was taken to Spartanburg Regional Hospital via ambulance, also with critical injuries. The driver of the SUV was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to Trooper Williams with the North Carolina Highway Patrol, the SUV pulled out of Silver Creek Rd., leading to the collision. The motorcyclist was speeding prior to the accident. Officials say that both the SUV driver and the motorcyclist are facing charges.
The current conditions of all involved are unknown at this time.
