MF7 basketball tourney: Polk girls host opener, boys on the road

Polk County’s girls will be at home while the Wolverine boys travel Monday to open play in the Mountain Foothills 7 Conference Basketball Tournament.
The Polk girls (14-9) earned the third seed in the tourney and will host Patton for a 6:30 p.m. game. The Panthers finished the season at 3-21.
The Polk boys (3-20) are seeded seventh and will travel to No. 2 seed Hendersonville (16-7). That game is set to tip off at 7:30 p.m.
The Polk County Lady Wolverines finished out the season Thursday on Senior Night with a statement 72-32 win over Brevard, while the Wolverines fell in an 81-61 loss to Brevard.
