COLUMBUS—At the next Tryon Writers Group meeting, author Kathy Thorson Gruhn will speak about “How to Write a Book the Easy Way.” The meeting will take place on January 18 at 5 p.m. at the Columbus Library.

Kathy’s passion for writing can be demonstrated by her self-published books, online magazine articles, TV and radio interviews and guest appearances. She has met Oprah, appeared on Discovery Channel, Fox Morning and Business News and CBS. She has written a child development program, My Baby Compass, from her experience as a speech pathologist for 35 years. It has been marketed nationally and internationally and the material is presently being placed in an app for parents. 

Recently, Kathy has published two humorous books, Drug Tested for Being Happy and Fight Naked. Clean humor and causing people to laugh out loud was her goal. 

She has performed locally at the Tryon Fine Arts Center with her humorous stories and music. 

Organizers invite the community to join them for the Tryon Writers Group presentation.
