SALUDA—This Saturday, the Saluda Winter Tailgate Market is the perfect place to celebrate Small Business Saturday, featuring more than 40 local vendors and craftspeople.
Small Business Saturday is the national shopping day after Thanksgiving, as a follow-up to Black Friday.
“Polk County farmers and crafters will be here with handcrafted products and homemade foods,” said Market Coordinator Maureen Mitchell. “Our community building is warm inside, and hot coffee and tea are waiting. Come say hello and show your support for these wonderful vendors!”
Since 2010, the market has been a local Saluda tradition, featuring small businesses, craftspeople and local growers from Polk and Henderson counties. Local producers connect consumers to keep food dollars in the community and support regional fresh food and family farms. Cash, credit/debit, and EBT cards are all accepted with a Polk County Community Foundation grant often doubling EBT value.
The vendors at the market include 2 Sew and Sew, 5 Star Redneck Farm, Appalachian Ways, Beagle Hill Honey, Bello Tallow, Blessing Berries & Plant Farm, BloodRoot Hollow Farm, Apothecary, Braylees Eggs, Buttercup Cottage, Case’s Produce, Cat’s Meow Pottery, Chris Craft, Courthouse Crafts, Creative Days, Dan’s Tree Treasures, Dancing Doggies, Green Ethos Bakery, Gwennies Growers, Linda’s Clayhouse, Lukens Land & Cattle, Mayhem Farm, Melded Bear, Soups On and many more.
A friendly reminder from the organizers is that dogs aren’t allowed in the indoor market. The Saluda Winter Tailgate Market takes place at the Saluda Center, 64 Greenville St. For more information, visit PolkCountyFarms.org.
