Classes offered for both children and adults
COLUMBUS–Polk County Parks and Recreation is offering a series of summer art classes for both kids and adults. The classes will be taught by Timea Gorgey, an experienced art teacher and local parent who will be leaving to attend art school in Munich later this year.
The classes, which will take place throughout the summer, will offer a variety of multimedia projects and will be held at various locations such as the WithAll Pavilion, Stearns Art Room, and Recreation Complex.
“This is a great opportunity to learn from an experienced art teacher and participate in a variety of multimedia projects. There are different projects for both adults and kids and it promises to be a fun learning experience for everyone involved,” says Lourdes Gutierrez, Assistant Director of Polk County Parks and Recreation. “So come get creative with us this summer and have a great time in the process.”
Participants can choose to sign up for one or multiple sessions. The classes range in price from $6 to $23, depending on the project and age group. To register for a class, visit https://forms.gle/fpB1y6Bfmge4LVfB6.
