Internationally trained violinist Andrew Sords will appear with pianist Brennan Szafron at Holy Cross Episcopal Church in a recital on Sunday, January 8 at 4 p.m. 

 

Szafron is the organist and choirmaster at Holy Cross Episcopal Church. Szafron and Sords met five years ago when Sords was a soloist with the Spartanburg Philharmonic Orchestra. They have developed a friendship over the years and will be performing together for the first time ever at the start of 2023. 

 

Their program will be a musical tour of Europe with works by Mozart, Beethoven, Sarasate and Wieniawski. Holy Cross boasts a Steinway model “L” piano in its sanctuary which is enhanced by the church’s reverberant acoustics. Admission is free and a reception will follow.
