The Tryon Country Club Women’s Golf Association played a Best Ball event on August 16 and also had a “Low Putts” contest. The results were as follows:

 

 

 

1st place – Marge Avery, Nancy Hiley, Becky Kennedy, Lib McKeller – 30

 

 

 

2nd place – Joyce Arledge, Jo Ann Silvia, Heidi Shull, Inglis Sellick – 33

 

 

 

3rd place – Peggy Henson, Caroline Brown, Ann Connolly, Nancy Hiley – 34

1st place – (TIE) Joyce Arledge, Tracey Beaver, Caroline Brown – all with 17 putts
