On December 17, 2019, Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a report where an individual was scammed out of a large amount of money. The scammer told the victim they won the lottery and needed to pay the taxes before receiving the money.

Detective Don Huckabee thoroughly investigated the incident and discovered the suspect lived in New York. Detective Huckabee contacted the suspect and remarkably received the money back from the suspect to return to the victim.
