Polk County District Court results

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2019, with Judge Kimberly Justice presiding, 129 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court. 

The following persons were convicted of a crime: 

John Allen Albree II was convicted of driving while license revoked-not impaired revocation and simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance. Albree was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.

Joel Avellaneda was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Avellaneda was fined $40 and court costs. 

Byron Allan Born was convicted of assault on a government official/employee and resisting public officer. Born was sentenced to six days in jail with credit for time served. 

Alexandr Dohnenko was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Dohnenko was fined $40 and court costs. 

Cornelieus A. Jackson was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Jackson was fined $92 and court costs. 

Catherine Marie Logan was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation out of county. Logan’s probation was terminated unsuccessfully. 

Melissa A. Morgan was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Morgan was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served. 

Ni Sanchez-De-La-Cruz was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Sanchez-De-La-Cruz was fined $150. 

Michael Travis Waddell was convicted of three misdemeanor probation violations. Waddell’s probation was revoked. 

Jon Eric Wilson was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Wilson was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.
