The Isothermal Culinary Arts program will host a two-part gingerbread house making class from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4, and Thursday, Dec. 6.
The instructor will be Pastry Chef Amanda Jones.
Attendees will learn tips and tricks from a professional pastry chef on making a great gingerbread house from scratch, complete with all of the festive decorations, organizers said. At the end of the second session, participants will have a completed gingerbread masterpiece to take home to impress family and friends.
Space is limited and preregistration is required by calling continuing education at 828-395-1405.
This is the second class in the college’s new culinary arts program, which will become available to area high school students in 2019. There will also be a wide variety of public classes like this one.
Details on additional classes will be available soon.
The program is made possible through the support of partners including the Appalachian Regional Commission and Rutherford County Schools.
