The Apothecary has announced that it will be opening five retail locations across South Carolina.
The Landrum location opened on Tuesday, Nov. 6. Expected opening dates for the other South Carolina locations will be announced later in the fall of 2018.
The Apothecary stores will offer more than 280 natural and herbal products, many derived from popular plants such as ginseng, sassafras, reishi mushroom and others.
Cannabidiol (CBD), which is derived from hemp, is used in a variety of therapeutic oils, cosmetics, tinctures, skin care and health supplements. Preliminary studies suggest it has properties that could improve health and wellness.
The Apothecary has collaborated with the Charleston Hemp Company as a provider of locally grown hemp. This will ensure consistent quality control for all of the CBD based products being offered, store owners said.
