The Polk County Youth Football Mites rolled to a 20-0 victory Saturday over North Buncombe in their season opener.

Styler Blackwell had two touchdowns, and Aaron Jackson scored another, that one set up by a Treyvon Whiteside interception.

The PCYF Termites dropped a 30-22 decision in overtime.

North Buncombe had no Midgets team.

The Polk County teams make their home debut next Saturday, as Asheville visits G.M. Tennant Stadium for three games beginning at 10 a.m.
