Tryon Fine Art Center Executive Director Marianne Carruth, outgoing President of the Board of Directors Jeff Byrd and incoming President Tara Brannon met for breakfast at TJ’s Restaurant in Tryon. In what has become a tradition for the new TFAC board president, the three met to discuss the organization’s goals, successes, and challenges in bringing high-quality arts programming to the community.

“With Tara stepping into the presidency, Tryon Fine Arts Center is fortunate to continue to have strong leadership committed to serving the community and making Tryon Fine Arts Center the best it can be,” said Carruth.

Brannon will serve as TFAC president, with a new executive committee including Past President Jeff Byrd, Scott Lane as vice president, Ron Pankey as secretary, and David Cornelius as treasurer.

TFAC board members at large include Becky Barnes, Jeff Byrd, Sharon Decker, Andy Millard, Bob Penfold, Chris Bartol, Scott Pleune, Matthew Pohsweg, Russ Rock, Mary Ann Twitty, and Jim Wright.
