Polk County District Court results

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, with Judge Athena F. Brooks presiding, 77 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Robert James Allen II was convicted of failure to notify DMV of address change. Allen was fined $20 and court costs.
Jennifer Eli Anderson was convicted of misdemeanor larceny. Anderson was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for time served.
James H. Blevins was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Blevins was fined $40 and court costs.
Elizabeth N. Catrett was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Catrett was fined $40 and court costs.
Carley J. Chardukian was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Chardukian was fined $40 and court costs.
Joshua Alan Clark was convicted of speeding 84 mph in a 70 mph zone. Clark was fined $20 and court costs.
John Wayne Franklin was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Franklin was fined $50 and court costs.
Dashayla Zanae Gary was convicted of second-degree trespassing. Gary was fined $50 and court costs.
Michael Steve Goforth was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Goforth was fined $40 and court costs.
Paul Teague Halford was convicted of driving while license revoked-impaired revocation. Halford was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $20 fine and court costs.
Kenneth Shane Hobbs was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Hobbs was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, one day in jail, a $100 fine and court costs.
Kristopher Gordon Lane was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Lane was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Michael Joseph McKeown was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. McKeown was fined $93 and court costs.
Adam Scott Powell was convicted of driving after consuming under age 21. Powell was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.
Paula Patricia Raposo was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Raposo was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, one day in jail, a $100 fine and court costs.
Robert Lewis Sheppard was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation out of county. Sheppard’s probation was terminated.
Robbie Alan Tucker was convicted of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Tucker was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for time served.
