Polk County District Court results

In Polk County District Court on Dec. 20, 2017, with Judge Pete Knight presiding, 115 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Teka Maria Booker was convicted of possession of schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Booker was sentenced to 14 days in jail with credit for time served.
Thomas R. Bustard was convicted of level two driving while impaired. Bustard was sentenced to seven days in jail, one year unsupervised probation, a $300 fine and court costs.
Elvin Chicas Calix was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Calix was sentenced to 11 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, $100 fine and court costs.
James C. Callison was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 70 mph zone. Callison was fined $100 and court costs.
Steven M. Erickson was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Erickson was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Jonathan Kyle Lyda was convicted of possess drug paraphernalia and breaking or entering. Lyda was sentenced to 18 days in jail with credit for time served.
Michael C. McAbee was convicted of level five driving while impaired. McAbee was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Dulce Maria Morales was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Morales was fined $40 and court costs.
David Augus Schneider was convicted of failure to notify DMV of address change. Schneider was to pay court costs.
Kevin Eugene Shaw was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Shaw was fined $95 and court costs.
Sandra Rae Taylor was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Taylor was fined $40 and court costs.
