Purple doors at Steps to HOPE

Steps to HOPE recently adopted the purple door as a symbol for the domestic violence and sexual assault treatment and prevention center. Purple is the color for domestic violence awareness and the door represents the first step out of an abusive home life.

Candy Butler of The Girls Painting painted the front door of the administrative offices at Steps to HOPE along with the main doors leading into the downstairs entrance on Wall Street. The purple is eye-catching and will hopefully make finding Steps to HOPE a bit easier for the people who are in need of services.

Steps to HOPE is the domestic violence and sexual assault treatment and prevention center serving Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina. If you or someone you know needs to open the door to a safe life, or if you would like to get involved and support Steps to HOPE’s mission to end domestic violence and sexual assault in this area, please call 828-894-2340.
