PCHS basketball roundup: Mountain Heritage girls extend league dominance

Mountain Heritage extended its Western Highlands Conference winning streak to 48 games Tuesday with a 79-42 win over Polk County in WHC girls basketball action in Burnsville.
The Cougars improved to 5-1 overall, 2-0 in WHC play with the win. Polk County dropped to 0-7, 0-2.
Ansley Lynch scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Wolverines. Autumn Owen added 11 points, with Mariah Overholt and Bella Marino each scoring five points. Anna McFadden added three points and Karli Wood had two for Polk.
The Wolverines return home Friday to host Mitchell in another WHC matchup.
RANDOLPH LEADS MH BOYS TO WIN: Standout freshman Callin Randolph scored 29 points to lead Mountain Heritage to a 94-55 win over Polk County.
Considered one of the state’s top players in the Class of 2020, Randolph helped the Cougars (3-3, 2-0) build a 60-26 halftime lead. Hayden Branton had 18 points and Dawson Branton added 12 for the Cougars.
Dillon Overholt scored 16 points to lead Polk County (1-6, 0-2), with Amir Gary adding 12 points.
