Thumbs up to nurturing fosters

Although some of us are weary of the lack of respect exhibited by a few candidates running for election, perhaps this will put a smile back in your day.
Kathy and John Toomey have been fostering a severely injured Foothills Humane Society chocolate Lab puppy post surgery. To oversimplify it, “erector set” parts were surgically installed to repair Johnny’s crushed pelvis and to reattach the opposing leg. Obviously the energy of a young pup would be a challenge for the best of us, but to keep a pup immobile for an extended length of time proves more difficult. Throw in the need for physical therapy on those limbs and we feel the need to extend our sincere gratitude for Kathy and John’s loving hearts. Lennie Rizzo, too, has been most attentive giving his support both emotionally and financially.
Without equivocation, these mountain foothills are paradise for each of us, and the secret is out. A large part of that paradise is our compassionate community. Bravo to all!
