Silver Alert for missing Polk County man cancelled

GREEN CREEK-A Silver Alert for a missing Polk County man on Wednesday was cancelled late Wednesday night after the man was located.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office issued the alert Wednesday after 66-year old Ronald Van Patterson walked away from his home on Phillip Henderson Road in Green Creek.

Patterson was found shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday in the woods not far from his home. The sheriff’s office said Patterson was not injured.
