Smokey the Bear talks trees with Saluda first graders

Smokey the Bear and a friendly forest ranger recently visited the first grade class of Caitlyn Bright at Saluda Elementary School. Students learned about ways to prevent forest fires as well as how trees are used to make many items, including houses, some food and even makeup. (Submitted by PolkStudents.com)
