The event is free, and will feature easy-to-follow instructions that teach children and adults how to draw their own cartoon characters.

Steve will also share stories about his volunteer organization called Drawn To Help, which brings the healing joy and distraction of cartooning fun to children in hospitals. Drawn To Help has reached over 2,000 young patients in six different states at this point in time, and is expanding into other areas.

There will be a book signing after the presentation, with all proceeds going to Drawn To Help. And, two lucky winners’ names will be drawn at random to receive a set of four autographed art instruction books Barr has written and had published.

Come out to join in the fun, learn how to draw cartoons and find out how creative activities can help young patients as they battle difficult illnesses!

Adawehi is located at 93 Adawehi Lane, just off of Fox Mountain Road in Columbus. For directions or more information, call 828-894-5280, Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m.–6 p.m.
