Glassy Mountain FD welcomes new fire engine with push-in ceremony

The traditional “push-in” ceremony dates back to the time of horse drawn pumpers, according to Glassy Mountain Fire Department Chief Robert Staples, and the celebration of the arrival of new equipment has been a custom and source of pride for fire departments for more than a century.
