Highland Lake Inn and Resort has earned a 2016 Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor, the website that allows users to book hotels and plan their vacations. The TripAdvisor award honors hospitality businesses all over the world that have received high ratings in the past year on their website for quality customer experiences. The Flat Rock-based resort offers an array of amenities like cozy cabin rooms or cottages, full-service breakfast, lunch and dinner and is five minutes from downtown Hendersonville.

► United Van Lines compiles annual National Moving Study

United Van Lines, a national moving company, has finished compiling their annual National Moving Study. The study concluded the highest inbound moving rates for the state of North Carolina belong to people in the 55+ age range group. Retirement, according to the study, is the biggest reason for moving. Approximately 26 percent of these inbound movers make between $100,000 and $150,000. The study included more than 240,000 nationwide shipments.
