New physicians join Rutherford Regional Health System

Rutherford Regional Health System (RRHS) has announced the addition of three physicians to its medical staff. Miles Ardaman, MD, is now providing inpatient psychiatric services at Rutherford Regional Medical Center; AJ Grein, MD, is a pediatrician with Rutherford Children’s Care; and Thomas Bolling, MD, has joined Rutherford Surgical Associates. Grein and Bolling also are seeing patients at RRHS’ Polk County office, called Polk Medical Specialties at 45 E. Mills Street in Columbus.
“A top priority for our health system is to bring new providers to our community and we are extremely excited about the addition of three outstanding physicians,” said James Atkins, CEO at RRHS. “Each fills a tremendous need and each has impressive credentials.”
Dr. Ardaman joins RRHS from the Greenville (S.C.) Health System where he was staff psychiatrist at Marshall I. Pickens Hospital. He also served as assistant professor at USC Greenville. He is board-certified through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He graduated from the Baylor College of Medicine 1994 and has completed fellowships at the Houston-Galveston Psycholanalytic Institute and at Duke University.
Dr. Bolling most recently served as chief of surgery at Newport Medical Center in Newport, Tenn., and as general surgeon at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Jefferson City, Tenn. He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a graduate of the Loma Linda (Calif.) University School of Medicine and he completed his residency at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Bolling practiced for many years at St. Luke’s Hospital in Columbus, N.C., where he served numerous appointments as the chief of surgery and the chief of staff.
Dr. Grein comes to RRHS from Fayetteville, N.C., and is a 1996 graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his residency and fellowship at Riley Hospital for Children, a part of the Indiana University School of Medicine. He is board-certified in General Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and also has served faculty appointments as an assistant professor of clinical pediatrics. He brings specialty training in neonatology to the medical staff as well.
