To the editor: 

Think twice before supporting a political philosophy that:

– Destroys the middle class

– Removes governmental regulations on Wall Street

– Jerks Medicare, health care, and Social Security from the most vulnerable

– Increases the tax burden on the non-rich while wealthy get breaks

– Foments Nazi-like hatred against America’s newest immigrants, particularly Latinos and Muslims

– Turns other democratic nations of the world against us.

A Trump presidency is unthinkable. He is ignorant, unstable, cruel, incapable of international understanding and cooperation, toxic to the morals, ethics, and purpose of the American form of government and our standing among nations and peoples beyond our shores.

I doubt the GOP convention will nominate Trump, but regardless of the party’s final choice, the GOP agenda for America is unacceptable, dangerous to the economy and the welfare of our people.

Until the Grand Ol’ Party can rid itself of the Tea Party stranglehold, voters will be well advised to reject it completely across the country, from local to state to Congress to the presidency.

Think, think, think. Your vote counts for good or evil in a world on the edge.
