Polk residents participated in National Day of Prayer

About 40 local residents gathered at the Polk County Courthouse lawn on Thursday, May 5 to participate in the National Day of Prayer. Residents gather annually on the day at 12:20 at the courthouse. This year was the 65th annual National Day of Prayer. This year’s theme was “Pray for America! Wake up America!” Polk participants heard prayers from local preachers as well as sang “America the Beautiful.” Participating leaders included Rev. John Edwards, Rev. Jesse Yarbrough, Rev.
