O.P. Earle Elementary School held its annual school spelling bee on Dec. 10. Fifth grader Landon Kirby won the title of OPE Spelling Bee Champion. Lucas Tapp was a worthy opponent and took the honors of OPE Spelling Bee runner-up. Congratulations to Landon and Lucas and to all the classroom spelling bee participants. Landon Kirby will compete in the Herald-Journal/GoUpstate.com Regional Spelling Bee on March 19, at USC Upstate Performing Arts Center.
