Henderson County makes arrest in Polk larcenies

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office requested a search warrant be executed by the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office on a man suspected of stealing property in Polk County.

During the early morning hours of Wednesday, April 29, the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 611 West Chestnut Drive, Hendersonville, according to Polk County Sheriff reports.

Damon Elliott Pearce, 41, of 328 Blackwell Drive, Hendersonville was arrested and charged by Henderson County detectives with maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances, possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia and felony possession of stolen property, according to Polk sheriff reports.

During the search, Henderson County deputies recovered a large amount of property stolen from Polk County.

After processing, Pearce was also charged with an additional count of felony possession of a controlled substance in a detention facility after detention officers found narcotics hidden on Pearce, according to sheriff reports.

Pearce was still in custody as of late Wednesday in the Henderson County Detention Facility under a $22,600 secured bond, according to Polk sheriff reports.

The investigation is continuing and further charges are expected, Polk sheriff officers said.
