To the editor:

The opinion “We are at war” on Dec. 31 was disappointing to those of us that trust TDB to accept and publish only those items that promote positive community activities and opinions that are rational and overall promote grace and goodwill to our fellow citizens.

This opinion (rant) was not worthy of publication as it was by design malicious and hate filled. Its blatant statement that our president and those that voted for him “have blood on their hands” is condemning and fraudulent. I am appalled that TDB would consider perpetuating such ignorance and malice.

Yes, I do believe in free speech, but only civil and responsible well thought-out positions which are worthy of publication and benefit our community. Shame on TDB for printing worthless, negative, destructive, hate filled messages when TDB can and has shown that it is capable of raising the standard of our community and promoting good and progressive ideas.
