The Polk County Sheriff’s Office and Animal Control recently confiscated 7 bald pythons from the Green Creek area.  Animal Control Sgt. Michael Herman stated that it was against Polk County ordinances to have such reptiles without a special permit.  The reptiles were taken into custody by a reptile specialist from South Carolina.
