People deal with life’s challenges in many different ways.

Some choose to close the doors and windows of their minds in a futile attempt to keep reality out.

Others throw their mental doors and windows open wide and look for a way to make things better, then either through financial means or elbow grease bring about real change.

Those in the second group are the people in our community who are making a difference.

Doing the right thing and going the extra mile is seldom easy but many individuals, groups and area leaders are doing just that.

They have made the decision to open their eyes, hearts and minds and go the extra mile.

In February we plan to share with you the untold stories of those in our community who are making a real difference in our area.

This special supplement to the Tryon Daily Bulletin, aptly named, “Making A Difference,” will be included in your Feb. 28 edition.

Here you will find stories of people in our area with passion, big hearts and an even bigger vision for our community.

If you know of a unique positive story or someone who is going above and beyond to make a difference in the community, let us know so we can honor them in this special edition.
